Who we are
MJ Captures receives photography enquiries. Email: mjcapturesmj@gmail.com. A full business address and legal trading name will be added before launch.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email, optional or required telephone number, requested service, preferred date and time, location, photoshoot requirements, and up to three optional reference images you choose to upload. Reference images are resized in your browser before submission.
Why we collect it
We use the information to respond to your enquiry, discuss photography services and prepare a quotation or booking arrangement. The appropriate lawful basis for enquiry handling is generally taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to contact requests, depending on the circumstances. Review before use.
Who receives it
Enquiry text and any reference image attachments are sent through our transactional email provider (Resend) to the MJ Captures email inbox. Enquiry reference images may remain in email systems until deleted. Client photos, proof previews and editing selections are additionally stored in private Supabase storage and database systems until deleted by MJ Captures. Hosting, email and security providers may process limited data on our behalf. Review each provider's data processing terms and transfer arrangements.
Private client galleries
When you are invited to a private client gallery, we store your edited and proof photographs using private Supabase Storage buckets. Your private share link acts as an access credential, with an optional passcode; do not forward it without permission. Our service uses an essential, HTTP-only short-lived cookie to maintain gallery access, and records your favourites and editing selections. Only approved final photographs are released for download. Original images may be stored until the gallery owner removes them, and gallery expiry restricts access rather than automatically deleting files. Instruct MJ Captures if you need a gallery removed or access revoked.
How long it is kept
To be completed before launch: specify realistic enquiry and client-record retention periods, and documented deletion practices.
Your rights
Subject to applicable UK data protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of personal information and to object to some processing. Email us to make a request. You can also contact the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies and external sites
The starter website does not set marketing or analytics cookies. Third-party links (including Instagram, WhatsApp and externally hosted demo images) may have their own privacy practices. If you add analytics, maps or embedded social feeds, revisit this notice and consent requirements.
